The recent 'problem child' of the AP Moller-Maersk (APMM) family is finally paying dividends, proving as in 2010, that with the right conditions Maersk Line can be the star performer of the group. Indeed, a nigh half a billion dollar (U5D498 million) better-than-expected net profit in the third quarter for APMM's liner services - including Maersk Line, Safmarine, MCC Transport and Seago - represented more than 50% of the Danish transport and energy company's total net black ink of USD933 million.
