Writing in his Sunday Spot/jghtjournal, Jensen said that while the carriers were successful in implementing the General Rate Increase (GRI) for northern Europe, the Mediterranean proved the stumbling block as only half the rate increases were secured before rates collapsed on the back of economic-induced catastrophic liftings.
