Two-thirds of boxships are losing money, states the newsletter of Hamburg-based analysts Deutschen FondsResearch. Its survey of 130 ships in the 2,100-2,700 TEU sector revealed that only 32% of these ships are actually reaching breakeven. The analyst said that their survey 'clearly reflected the current market situation'; and is without doubt being replicated in other sectors of the boxship market.
