Rumors become reality: Bayer to make animal health exit in 2019

Stories surrounding Bayer's commitment to retaining its animal health business have proved to be true, with theGerman firm exploring options for this division.Fourth-quarter sales came to €330 million ($376 million) and EBITDA before special items fell 4% to €47m.Sales were down 2% in Europe/Middle East/Africa to €80m and declined 1% in Asia/Pacific to €78m. However, turnover in North America improved 8% to €136m.
