US biotech start-up eyes 2020 avian necrotic enteritis vaccine launch

Florida-based start-up Curtiss Healthcare is aiming to bring its first avian vaccine to market by 2020. Founded in 2015, the company was created to commercialize research into orally distributed live recombinant attenuated Salmonella vector vaccines by Professor Roy Curtiss III from the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine. The start-up is currently developing a platform of new vaccines to improve food quality and safety as well as helping to treat and prevent serious infections inanimals as well as humans.
