Vetoquinol Brazilian stake helps firm to modest growth in Q2

French firm Vetoquinol has seen its sales rise 2.9% in the second quarter of 2019, with a boost from its recent acquisition in Brazil.Revenues amounted to €92.9 million ($103.4 million) in Q2. Vetoquinol's acquisition of a 90% equity stake in Brazilian firm Clarion Biociencias generated 2.7% growth. Vetoquinol finalized its deal for Clarion in Q1.Vetoquinol explained a positive impactof exchange rates in Q2 offset a sales decline in Asia Pacific during the quarter. First-half sales at the firm amounted to €183.8m -representing 3.3% growth or 1.8% at constant exchange rates. Exchange rates had a positive impact of 1.5%, mainly relating to the US dollar. The Clarion acquisition boosted sales by 1.4% or €2.4m in H1.
