FINANCIAL NEWS. Jan-Jun 2008. BMW reported a sharp drop in its Q2-08 earnings and warned that the worsening conditions meant its full-year profit targets would be missed. Group revenue fell 0.9% to {EUR}14.55bn in Q2-08. At constant exchange rates, an increase of 4.5% would have been recorded. Group operating profit fell by 58%, brought down by increased purchased material costs, adverse exchange rates and increased risk provisions.
