FINANCIAL NEWS. Year to Dec 2007. Toyota reported record revenue and profits for the first nine months boosted by strong overseas sales and favourable exchange rate movements - although in the third quarter alone, exchange rates were unfavourable. Group revenue rose by 11.9%, to ￥19,722bn, boosted by a 4.5% rise in vehicle sales and favourable exchange rate movements. Operating profit grew by 12.3% to a record ￥1,874bn and the operating margin remained at 9.5%, comfortably outperforming Honda's and Nissan's results.
