Cross-industry study looks at AI technologies to boost animal welfare

A long-term study by animal health specialists will use sensors and artificial intelligence (AI) to aid sustainable livestock production.The IMAGEN project will examine how biological, psychological and environmental factors during adolescence may influence brain development and mental health in animals. The initiative will combine sensors and AI technology with animal breeding and genetics.IMAGEN is funded by the European Commission, and will have study locations in the UK, Germany, Ireland and France.
