Agrivida targets coccidiosis with antibody-based additive, seeking development partnerships

US start-up Agrivida is developing a new antibody feed additive candidate for use in Agrivida's lead antibody is specifically designed to help maintain an immune response against the causative pathogen of coccidiosis - a parasitic disease that is a major issue in the sector. So far, the firm has already progressed a "little bit beyond proof of concept" with the candidate and has produced the antibody in different corn lines. Work has been carried out inhouse but the company is now considering partners for further development.
