Lack of Turkish demand is holding back prices in Egypt and has obliged producers to sell at unchanged prices for October. Recent business is as follows: 1.Abu Qir held tenders on 19 September to sell 25,000t of granular urea for first half October loading and 25,000t of prilled urea for 5-20 October loading. It sold 30,000t of prilled urea at $285/t fob for 5-20 October loading and 30,000t of granular urea at $307/t fob for 1-15 October loading. 2. Prior to this, on 14 September, Abu Qir sold 25,000t of prilled urea at $285/t fob for end-September/first half October shipment. 3. On 19 September, Mopco sold 50,000t of granular urea to a single buyer at $307/t fob for October shipment. 4. Alexfert is reported to have sold 7,000t at $307/t fob for October loading.
