SPEAKING AT A PRESS CONFERENCE ON JANUARY 24,2021, AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF 'EXERCISE Desert Knight-21' held jointly by the air forces of India and France in Jodhpur, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Indian Air Force (IAF) said that the IAF had initiated a programme to develop a fifth-generation fighter aircraft with the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) and that there were plans to incorporate some sixth-generation capabilities in it as well.
