Cytochrome P450 1A2 is a target antigen in hepatitic graft-versus-host disease.

Chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) involving the liver most commonly manifests as indolent cholestasis. However, a hepatitic variant of GVHD with marked transaminitis and lobular inflammation on liver biopsy is now well recognized.The pathogenesis of this complication is poorly understood. Here we report a case of hepatitic GVHD with positive autoimmune serology that led to the definition of cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) as a target antigen.
