According to data from the US EIA, the country's imports of Mexican crude fell by 47 from 2003 to just 850K b/d in 2013. While that volume was still enough to make Mexico the US's third largest foreign crude supplier that year (after Canada and Saudi Arabia), it was the smallest amount that the US has imported from its neighbor to the south since 1993.
