According to state-run oil company PDVSA, Venezuela's oil exports to Asia came to 1.015MM b/d in 2013, up on the year by 9.8, and consisted of 726K b/d of crude and 289K b/d of products. The increase came in spite of a reduction in the country's total exports in the year that PDVSA President Rafael Ramirez (who moonlights as Venezuela's oil minister) called the country's "most difficu" Venezuela exported a total of 1.935MM b/d of crude in 2013, down by 6.1 from 2012, while product exports were down by 3.5 at 490K b/d. PDVSA's six refineries in Venezuela processed an average of 952K b/d in 2013, the company added, with about 31 of the output consisting of gasoline and naphtha-range material, 30 middle distillates, 27 residuals, 1 asphalt, and 11 "other products."
