Shale boom continues to drive down US crude, fuel imports.

For the tenth month in a row, combined imports of crude and refined products into the US in June was below 10MM b/d and the lowest level in the month since 1993. Combined imports were down 5.7% from year-ago levels at 9.23MM b/d as crude output climbed by 16% to 8.35MM b/d, the highest level seen in June since 1986. Similarly, NGLs production was up 18% from June 2013 at 2.94MM b/d, the highest level ever recorded on the month.
