The Day of Immunology 2021

The Day of Immunology (DoI) has been celebrated every April 29 since its creation back in 2005 by the former President of the European Federation of Immunologi-cal Societies (EFIS), Stefan Kaufman. "This is a unique opportunity to increase awareness around the world about immunology and the importance of immunity to fight major diseases, improve research and save lives." Stefan Kaufmann when launching the Day of Immunology in 2005. Today, the DoI is jointly supported by the International Union of Immunologi-cal Societies (IUIS) and EFIS that award prizes to national societies and/or regional federations for the best international and European public awareness campaigns -see here for more information on the prizes and past campaigns.
