Communicating with the public

Many people are hesitant to take an injection if they are healthy. Proper communication about the benefits and risks of vaccines is therefore crucial to improve their adoption. By being open and honest it should become clear that negative effects of vaccines are outweighed enormously by their benefits. According to a recent IPSOS survey, the most common reasons not to get vaccinated against COVID-19 are (1) fear of side effects, (2) questionable effectiveness and (3) respondents do not consider themselves at risk for contracting severe COVID-19.
