Calbee Bolsters Efforts for Eco-Friendly Packaging Materials

Calbee Inc. (TYO:2229) is working to bring about more environmentally friendly packaging materials. The major Japanese snacks manufacturer, which uses 11,000–12,000 tons of plastic per year, intends to halve its use of petroleum-derived plastics over 2018–2030. Then by 2050, the aim is to switch over to environmentally friendly options for 100 percent of its packaging materials and container materials.
