Qatar starts up new condensate processing plant.

Qatargas has announced that it has started up its Laffan Refinery 2, a 146K-b/d facility to process condensate from Qatar's North Field natural gas reserve. The plant will produce low-sulfur fuels compliant with Euro-V specifications. Given its feedstock, it is expected to make a high proportion of lightweight products including propane, butane and naphtha, but also some ULSD and Jet-A1 as well.
