Gunvor sues after failed acquisition bid.

The Swiss oil trader is suing Cerberus Capital Management after to two companies attempted unsuccessfully to buy Chevron's assets in South Africa. Gunvor says that it agreed with Cerberus in Sept. 2016 launch a joint bid for the assets, which include the Cape Town refinery, a lubricant plant in Durban and a network of about 800 retail stations. After Gunvor spend about $1.6MM on due diligence, the company said, it and Cerberus made an offer "approaching $650 million." When Chevron rejected the offer, however, Cerberus refused to honor its commitment to pay for half of the due-diligence costs.
