摘要

One additional infant could survive to 36 weeks without BPD for every 25 babies treated with nasal CPAP in the delivery room rather than being intubated. Providing nasal CPAP at birth has been advocated for avoiding endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation, which has the potential to reduce the incidence of BPD. This review found that preterm infants should be supported with nasal CPAP immediately after birth to improve survival to 36 weeks without BPD.
