Steel scrap prices in Mexico rose again in all regions of the country during the week ended Friday November 6 amid strong demand and limited supply, with special interest from buyers in the obsolete grades like plate and structural scrap, turnings and shredded scrap. Prices were stronger in Mexico's central Bajío region, where buyers in San Luis Potosí state were avidly seeking material and paying higher prices across all grades.
