US: Delphi introduces integrated instrument panel

DELPHI has unveiled its new in-car integrated instrument panel, which the company claims will enable significant cost savings for vehicle manufacturers. This module replaces separate heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, entertainment and communications, accessory switches and other functional switches with one single mechatronic module, allowing a reduction in wiring harness cost and mass as well as easier vehicle assembly.
