Primary endometriosis of the abdominal wall: an entity to be included in the differential diagnosis of abdominal wall masses

Extrauterine manifestations of endometriosis, especially in the abdominal wall are well-recognized and frequently encountered by gynecologists. In most cases computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging fail to differentiate the lesions from other soft tissue tumors. We report a case of endometriosis of the abdominal wall without evident disease in the pelvis.
