Algoma Steel increases sheet prices by $50/t

Algoma Steel has increased transaction prices for hot-rolled and cold-rolled sheet products by $50 per short ton ($2.50 per hundredweight) effective immediately with new spot orders, it said in a letter to customers dated Tuesday September 15. “We reserve the right to review and re-quote any offers that are not confirmed with either an Algoma sales acknowledgement or written acceptance by both parties,” it said. “Our published extras will also be applicable with new orders.”
