China: Visteon opens new climate control facility

VISTEON has opened a new manufacturing plant, Halla Climate Control (HCC), in Dalian, China. The Halla Climate Control plant will manufacture compressors and sub-components for automotive manufacturers in China and elsewhere in the Asia Pacific region. Visteon owns 70% of the equity shares of HCC. "We are pleased to begin production at this new facility as part of our expanding manufacturing footprint in China. Halla Climate Control is a market leader in Korea and a source for operational excellence in Asia Pacific. We intend to leverage their expertise to provide high-quality products in China," said Robert Pallash, Visteon senior vice president and president of its Asia Pacific Customer Group.
