US: Pirelli to supply F-150 with new Scorpion ATR tyre

PIRELLI has announced that it will supply the Ford F-150 pickup with its new Scorpion ATR tyre. Pirelli developed the Scorpion ATR tyre in partnership with leading automotive manufacturers. The tyre has been subjected to intensive research and development using Pirelli's most advanced technologies. The latest generation materials used in its construction, from the polymers to the silica, and the innovative tread pattern with special blocks and linear grooves, are expected to provide high performance, greater resistance to wear and contact patch uniformity, enhanced traction and braking values, in addition to excellent resistance to aquaplaning and a significant reduction in road noise.
