China: Kumho Tyres invests in new facility

KUMHO Tyres, Changchun, has announced an investment of around US$155.87m to set up a new plant in China's Jilin Province, reports China Daily. This is reportedly the biggest project to be invested in by a business from the Republic of Korea in the Jilin Province. The company aims to manufacture 3.15 million car radial tyres annually at the facility, filling the gap for high quality car tyres in Jilin Province. The supplier has signed a letter of intention with FAW to supply it with tyres.
