CLEAN Diesel Technologies (CDTI), which develops technological solutions to reduce diesel engine emissions, has entered into a venture with Mitsui Mining and Smelting/Mitsui Kinzoku to introduce Mitsui's urea quality sensor technology into European markets. Tim Rogers, executive vice president of CDTI, commented, "Mitsui has greatly contributed to the successful introduction of SCR in Japan. This technology removes one of the few remaining barriers to application of SCR technology as a global solution to reduction of harmful nitrous oxides from diesel vehicles."
