Italy: Johnson Controls supplies new Alfa 159

ALFA Romeo's new Alfa 159 Sportwagon, unveiled at the Geneva automotive show, features Johnson Controls' seamless integration technology-built door panels and an integrated garage door opener, HomeLink. Special manufacturing technology is required to achieve seamless integration technology-built door panels. An environment-friendly composite material made of equal parts natural wood flour and polypropylene (PP) has been used to make these door panels. Since wood flour-filled PP can be covered with similar materials, there is no need for additional chemical adhesives, which eliminates the risk of adhesion problems as well.
