UK: DuPont introduces new sunroof technology

DUPONT Glass Laminating Solutions has introduced a new plastic composite product for use in vehicle sunroofs. This new material, DuPont Spallshield, is an alternative to pure organic plastic glazing or other existing glass-glass type laminates. According to the company, when applied to a single layer of glass, DuPont Spallshield offers up to eight times the impact performance compared to standard laminated glass while weighing up to 30% less.
