Russia: Johnson Matthey invests in catalyst project

JOHNSON Matthey has announced plans to build a manufacturing facility in Russia for the production of automotive catalysts. The company has signed an MOU with the Krastsvetmet Metal Company and the Governor of Krasnoyarsk to secure a site in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, located within the boundary of Krastsvetmet's own plant. Under the terms of the MOU, this new facility will purchase precious metal salts from Krastsvetmet for use in the production of the catalysts.
