Japan: Denso develops doublepipe heat exchanger for front HVAC systems

DENSO has developed a unique double-pipe internal heat exchanger for car air conditioning systems. The component is expected to increase cooling performance by 5% - 12% at the same power level. Denso believes this to be the first such double-pipe internal heat exchanger for a front air conditioning system. While the conventional refrigeration cycle features two pipes that are separated, the double-pipe internal heat exchanger integrates the two pipes into one pipe with inner and outer tubes.
