US: SMSC recognised by Frost Sullivan for production innovation

FROST & Sullivan's analysis of the North American in-car network market has recognised SMSC with the 2006 Infotainment Systems Product Innovation Leadership of the Year Award. SMSC secured the award for developing the MOST System Management Module. In addition to this, SMSC's MOST technology has also received Frost & Sullivan's 2006 Market Penetration Leadership Award in Europe. MOST was introduced in 2001 in the BMW 7-Series and now the technology is used in over 35 vehicle models serving leading European automotive manufacturers.
