Mexico: Gill to buy Johnson Controls plant

GILL Industries has agreed to purchase a plant near Mexico City from Johnson Controls, reports Reuters. The company aims to boost its ability to supply stamped metal products for the automotive, office furniture and utility vehicles industries. Terms of the deal, which is expected to close by 31 January, were not disclosed. The proposed agreement will add more than 300 employees to Gill Industries and its manufacturing space is likely to grow by more than 100,000sq ft.
