Spain: New iron foundry for automotive parts

A new iron foundry to manufacture parts for the automotive industry is to be set up by the Fagor Ederlan Group in Spain. The company claims the foundry will be the most technologically advanced in the market place. The new plant will create 45 new jobs, leading to a total of 70 people at the facility during the initial phase. It is expected the new foundry will make brakes discs but at a later stage could manufacture other products that are already being manufactured within the group's other plants. A total of 294 people work in the company's brake business unit.
