India: Delphi-TVS invests in local production

DELPHI-TVS has announced that it will invest Rs5bn (US$130m) to manufacture fuel injection systems in India. Delphi-TVS is a joint venture between the US-based Delphi and the TVS Group. The company manufactures rotary diesel fuel injection system, filters, injectors and other components. Delphi-TVS is the largest supplier of rotary fuel injection systems in India for cars, multi-utility vehicles and tractors. The company is also planning to expand its engineering capabilities by setting up a technical centre for product development in the southern city of Chennai, India.
