Germany: Bosch and Knorr Bremse collaborate on driver assistance systems

ROBERT Bosch and Knorr Bremse Systeme fur Nutzfahrzeuge have announced an alliance for driver assistance systems. Under the agreement, Bosch will provide Knorr Bremse with its components and software for the adaptive cruise control system (ACC). Knorr Bremse will use this technology and develop the system for application in commercial vehicles and market it worldwide under the Bendix and Knorr Bremse brands for original equipment, retrofitting and spare parts. Bosch's ACC has been used in passenger cars since 2000.
