International Integrated Reporting Committee Forms

In early August 2010, the Prince's (His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales) Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) announced the official formation of the International Integrated Reporting Committee (IIRC). The formation of the IIRC meets a goal set in September 2009 at a meeting of representatives of accounting bodies, industry, investors, "standard setters," and the United Nations, together with A4S and GRI, and is a first step toward the development of a framework for integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting with financial reporting.
