Argentina: Mahle acquires valve producer Edival

MAHLE Group has announced that its Brazilian subsidiary Mahle Metal Leve has acquired the complete operations of valves supplier Edival for an undisclosed sum. Edival, based in Rafaela, Argentina, produces valves, valve guides and valve seat inserts for internal combustion engines for the OEM, aftermarket, performance, racing, aircraft and stationary segments. The company has an annual production capacity of 15 million valves in a range of more than 3,000 different products. It employs about 800 workers and is expected to report annual sales of US$40m in 2006.
