US: DaimlerChrysler and Getrag to announce site for new transmission facility

THE site for a new joint venture between DaimlerChrysler and Getrag is expected to be announced on 2 April 2007, online news resource Inside Indiana Business has reported, citing the Tipton County Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC). TCEDC officials said that the companies are still committed to selecting a site in Indiana. According to the newspaper Kokomo Tribune, Kokomo and Tipton are both under consideration for the new transmission facility, which is expected to employ around 1,200 people.
