SBR stabilises after increases

European styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) spot prices were stable in the week ending 3 March for the first time since January 2017. Mid-point prices for dry grade material have increased by approximately 84% since the first week of January, according to ICIS data. SBR 1500 grade spot prices were assessed stable, with the range between €2,600-€2,900/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe). Spot dry (1500) grade prices were heard as low as €2,600/ tonne FD NWE and as high as €2,900/tonne FD NWE, depending on account and supplier, that week and therefore prices were assessed stable.
