Morphologische Veranderlichkeit bei klonalen Kulturen von Scenedesmus nygaardii Hub.-Pest. und Scenedesmus bernardii G.M. Smith

Variability of the disposition and the form of the coenobia cells of Scenedesmus nygaardii Hub.-Pest. and Scenedesmus bernardii G.M. Smith in nutritive solutions with gradient of concentration is investigated. Clonal cultures, with typical for both species initial coenobia, are used. It is established that despite of the different conditions of cultivation and the arrangement of the coenobia cells of S. nygaardii they are always disposed on one plane. On the contrary, one or more coenobia cells of S. bernardiii are disposed on a plate different from that of the rest cells. The presented character can be used for differentiation between S. bernardii and S. nygaardii.
