Thematic Strategy on Air Pollution:Publication postponed

On 23 June,at an internai Commission meeting involving several Commissioners and chaired by the President of the Commission,it was decided to postpone the publication of the Thematic Strategy on Air Pollution(TSAP),the main outcome of the CAFE programme.in the press this decision was lin-ked to the letter sent by UNiCE to President Barroso on 7 June.The press reported that the arguments about lack of cost-effective-ness and importance of uncertainties'swayed Mr.Barroso'.
