Overcapacity could slow U.S. coal going to Egypt

Egyptian cement makers have bought around 1 million metric tonnes of U.S. coal so far this year, up by about 50% from the same period last year. But over-investment in the cement sector has led to excess capacity, according to delegates attending the Coaltrans Middle East conference in Cairo.
