Modified Ratio Estimator in Systematic Random Sampling Under Non-response

abstract_textpThe issue of non-response on study variable is discussed in order to estimate the mean of population using single auxiliary variable in systematic random sampling. A generalized ratio estimator is proposed for population mean in the presence of non-response. The special cases of generalized estimator are also searched out by using different values for constants. The MSEs for proposed generalized as well as special cases are derived and mathematical conditions are established to prove the efficiency of proposed estimators. The empirical study using real life data is also performed for numerical illustration of MSEs, mathematical conditions and percent relative efficiency./p/abstract_text
