US: Lear expects strong sales growth in 2007

AUTOMOTIVE supplier Lear expects its sales revenue in 2007 (excluding the interior business it is divesting) to increase 3.4% to US$15bn, from an estimated US$14.5bn for 2006, as the company anticipates benefits from new business with Asian OEMs, continued diversification and lower costs. Core operating earnings are expected to be in the range of US$560m to US$600m, up by 15.4% from US$520m to US$550m expected for 2006, the company stated in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
