US: Johnson Controls unveils new interior solutions at NAIAS

JOHNSON Controls has showcased a new concept in vehicle seating, the Slim Seat, at the 2007 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The company has targeted the new seat for US model year 2010 production vehicles. The Slim Seat is designed for front-seat applications and features a leading-edge design with an ultra-thin seatback, which is expected to deliver additional knee room for second-row occupants. The seat also features a thin, centreline crosssection 'Comfort'n'Space' technology, which reportedly ensures occupant comfort even with thin packaging.
