India: Posco plans second steel processing centre

POSCO intends to set up another steel processing unit as a joint venture with Samsung in Gurgaon, Haryana in the next few months, according to India's Business Standard newspaper. Posco and Samsung are expected to hold 81% and 19% respectively in the new joint venture, which will serve automotive and electrical and electronics manufacturers in northern India. Recently, Posco opened its first processing centre in Pune to cater to OEMs in the city and the country's western region.
